- Provide context for the broader change and related variability; reference hard work and thoughtfulness of approach
- Drill down on specifics in sufficient detail and with sufficient time to make informed choices
- Differentiate messaging for employees significantly impacted, and provide follow-up contact
Approach:
- Define message platform for executives and provide coaching
- Build broad-based awareness with a mix of electronic and mail-to-home tactics; house all materials on a custom SharePoint microsite
- Provide before-and-after benefits comparisons and rate sheets
Results:
- Strong migration to unified platform of consistent benefits; resistance was managed on a small-group or individual basis
- Engagement with microsite rose steadily after launch and remained active for approximately 5 months
- Communication campaign won regional IABC Bronze Quill Award of Excellence
